Halloween Butter Cookies

Here's the recipe of the cookies I made for Foxy's Birthday-but-also-Halloween Party!

Ingredients:
1) Cut the butter into small cubes
2) In a bowl add flour, sugar, butter and grate in the lemon zest.
3) Mix with your hands until everything is combined, then add the egg yolk and mix again.
4) Now cut your dough in two equal parts: add orange food coloring to one half and put aside, then add cocoa powder and a little bit of black food coloring to the other half.
5) With a rolling pin roll out both doughs into a rectangle to a thickness of 1 cm. I suggest to do so on a piece of parchment paper.
6) Layer one half on the other half, then with the help of the parchment tightly roll the dough on itself to make that cute swirly effect! Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
7) Preheat the oven at 170C, meanwhile with the help of a flat knife cut the dough into circles of 1 cm thickness and lay each cookie on a sheet pan.
8) Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, wait for the cookies to completely cool down before serving.

Et voila! Now your life is a little sweeter, Happy Halloween!!
