Heart Shaped Jam Cookies


I came up with this recipe today, something bad happened and I was looking for a distraction. I used a heart shaped sandich cutter so the cookies ended up quite large, but you can use a smaller one or any shape you like.

Ingredients:
1) Preheat your oven at 180°C
2) Cut the butter in small pieces, add half a cup of sugar and two cups of flour, knead the dough until everything is mixed
3) Put the dough in the fridge for ten minutes, then add the remaining half cup of flour, baking powder, honey, milk and mix well
4) Let the dough rest for at least 30 mins
5) Roll out the dough, it shouldn't be thicker than half a centimeter
6) Now cut an even number of cookies
7) Put your filling on one half of the cookie, then cover it with the other half and close the cookies with a fork. Then cut an X with a knife.
OPTIONAL: Beat an egg and brush it on the cookies
8) Bake in the oven for 15 minutes
9) Wait for the cookies to cool down and then enjoy! Now your life is a little sweeter!
